UL Bohs Women put on strong display and get a bonus point win over Tralee in the AIL Div1 game at Annacotty.
Tralee ladies travelled to Annacotty to play UL Bohs in the AIL Div 1. For UL Bohs this was a must win game if they were to maintain 4th position on the league table.
From the kick-off the home team took control and with some excellent drives by the pack they came close to the line on a number of times only to be denied by good Tralee defence. However, on 14 minutes this pressure eventually paid off and another great effort by the forwards saw Maria Eviston crash over for a try with Molly O’Donnell adding the two points. This was followed 3 minutes later when the pack held possession of the ball and passed to the backs and following a slick movement winger Sorca Ni Uallachain touched down for try number 2. After this Tralee moved into the UL Bohs half and had a bit of a purple patch for about 10 minutes and made a number of brave attempts to break through with again with the excellent defence they were unable to put a score on the board. On 25 minutes UL Bohs were well back in charge and a determined run by Aine Staunton and this was followed followed by an inside pass for Louise Galvin to score near the left touch line. At the break it was UL Bohs 17 – Tralee 0.

When a player decides to move on, for one reason or another, it is with a certain regret, that the club says goodbye. When a player, who has graced the whole aspect of our club, from underage, right through to senior rugby, decides to depart, it is with a definite sadness, that the club says goodbye. Such was the case, when Cathal Garvey , packed his bags, and moved, initially, to the other side of the country, but ultimately, to the other side of the world.
